Our purpose is to help people start and lead giving circles

Here’s how we do it:

WE COACH
aspiring giving circle leaders through the start-up process and provide on-going coaching support to help sustain giving circles .

Giving circles have been around for hundreds of years and while no two giving circles are the same, there are best practices. Our job is to share strategies for collective giving and to help giving circles in Vermont achieve their goals. We provide individual and small group coaching to help leaders start and strengthen their giving circles.

WE CONVENE giving circle leaders and support an active network of giving circles to share best practices and learn about effective collect impact giving.

We are a community of learners and provide opportunities for our members to connect with and learn from one another. We know that GCs that are part of a supportive network produce better outcomes and we are committed to nurturing that network in Vermont.

WE CONNECT giving circles to nonprofits doing great work.

We help GCs in our network connect with national giving circle networks, Vermont nonprofits and other causes and movements they care about. We also are matchmakers of sorts and help people find giving circles to join.

WE HOST / FACILITATE giving circles that are looking for extra support and management.

We offer a variety of types of support for giving circles- from taking on full hosting and facilitation to assistance with governance, grant making, communications, logistics and due diligence. The fee for this service may be a percentage of the total amount your circle grants or a flat fee. Donors interested in learning more about being part of a facilitated collective giving group should contact jessica@givingprojectvt.org.
